The NH Theatre Factory's Stage Setters Youth Program presents the world-premiere musical production of A Dragon's Tail on Friday, March 3rd @ 7:30 PM and Saturday, March 4th @ 2:00 & 7:30 PM at the Derry Opera House.
A Dragon's Tail is a charming and beautiful musical retelling by Artistic Director Joel Mercier of Kenneth Grahame's 19th century fairytale, The Reluctant Dragon. When a dragon is discovered living high in the hills above a tiny village, it takes the understanding and bravery of one small girl to see past the scales and wings into the heart of a creature who is not all that different from the rest of us. Unfortunately, it's going to take more than that to convince the Royal Court who have already called for the greatest Dragon Slayer of all time to come and vanquish the beast, St. George himself. Featuring a cast of talented youth performers from the Granite State, A Dragon's Tail is an enchanting spin on the famous story, filled with midieval spectacle, stunning costumes, contemporary music, and a powerful message about not judging a book by its cover!
The NH Theatre Factory is NH’s newest professional 501(c)3 non-profit theater company. NHTF's Education branch, the Stage Setters Youth Program, is dedicated to professional theatrical training for aspiring artists ages 8 through 18.
